Scott represents and advises public and private company clients with respect to mergers and acquisitions; debt and equity financing including venture financing, general corporate matters, corporate governance and Sarbanes-Oxley Act compliance; federal and state securities regulation; periodic reporting to the Securities and Exchange Commission; and general business transactions including licensing and distribution.
  • Experienced attorney with a wealth of knowledge in the areas of corporate transactions, intellectual property and litigation - served as General Counsel for publicly traded Internet security software development and computer forensics professional services company, PivX Solutions, Inc.
  • Formerly, an associate attorney at Clifford Chance US LLP, the world's largest law firm out of London, England, and Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison LLP
  • Served as defense in high profile securities fraud lawsuits and SEC investigations for Broadcom, Cisco, Global Crossings and Homestore.com - argued cases in front of a variety of state and federal courts, including the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals
  • Served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Guatemala
  • Earned J.D. from University of California Hastings College of the Law and a B.A. in Environmental Biology from University of Virginia
